I designed this piece during my residency at the Appalachian Center for Crafts in Smithville, TN. It is a decorative corner panel on the end of the metals studio, commissioned by department head Bob Coogan to replace an ugly guard protecting the gas pipe. It is composed of a 'punched and passed through' grille in 5/8” square bar and pressed copper panels. The dimensions of the corner grille
are: height - 8 feet and width of each leaf - 18 inches.
